Impel College Social Activities

 

Hillingdon and the local region is a great place to spend your free time and the College social programme includes the following events:

  • Social evenings in local pubs, bars and nightclubs. 

    • A chance for you to relax with your fellow students and talk to local people e.g Beef eater (7 min walk away)

  • Day trips to the wonderful English towns and cities of Winchester, Bournemouth, Bath, Oxford, Brighton and London

  • International Food Evenings in the College

  • Walking in the New Cranford Park and trips to Centre of London

  • Special events at Christmas and Halloween, Eid and Holi

  • Beck Theatre next to the college. 

  • Cinema and Bowling nights

  • Football matches in the summer

 

    

    Town day trips by train or bus  from London

  • Winchester(1hr 30mins) – Ancient capital of England, cathedral, King Arthur's Round Table and historic market place.

  • Portsmouth (1 hr) – Famous historical port with the Spinnaker Tower, Royal dockyards and the seaside town of Southsea. Many things to see and do.

  • Chichester (55 mins) – Superb cathedral and great shops

  • Brighton (1 hr 30 mins) - Lively seafront, fantastic restaurants and shops, The Royal Pavilion, historic pier.

  • Salisbury (60 mins) – Famous cathedral, historic market town, close to Stonehenge on Salisbury Plain.

  • Bath (1 hour) – World heritage sight, Roman Baths, Georgian housing, cathedral, superb shops.

  • Cardiff (2 hrs) – Capital of Wales, castle, lively & fun city.

  • Oxford (1 hr 15 mins) – One of the world’s best universities.  See the famous colleges and historic buildings
