CSCS Card Construction Skills

CSCS was set up to help the construction industry to improve quality and reduce accidents. CSCS cards are increasingly demanded as proof of occupational competence by contractors, public and private clients and others. They cover hundreds of occupations so whatever you do in construction there will be a card that is suitable for you. 

Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment (RQF)

 

Supported by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed to provide Learners with a basic awareness of health and safety within a construction environment.

Intended Audience:

 

This qualification is ideal for those who work in, or aspire to work in, a construction environment. It has been specifically designed to provide a route towards applying for the Green Labourer CSCS Card.

 

Course Review:

During this course, Learners will develop an understanding of health and safety in the context of construction, so that they can work safely in this environment. Topics covered include:

  • the risks of working in a construction environment,

  • principles of risk assessments for improving health and safety at work,

  • the importance of working safely at height and much more. 

Assessment Methods

1 x Theory assessment (Multiple Choice Question Paper).

Course Objectives:

Candidate will have a level of Health & Safety knowledge that is applicable to their occupation.

 

Intended Candidates:

For those who are working in and around construction sites

 

Course Requirements and Examination:

Examinations are conducted at the college

 

On Completion:

You will be awarded Pass or Fail paperwork in order to apply for your appropriate card
